Brackish Water
How would you describe the waters of coastal Georgia? Murky? Muddy? Dirty? How about nutrient-rich? Exploding with life? Salty ocean and fresh rivers colliding and combining to form unique ecological phenomena upon which both humans and animals alike depend?! Maybe you’d simply say our waters are “brackish.” No matter how you connect with our coastal waters, you’re invited to come celebrate them!
We’re returning with all new Naturalist 101 programs and Advocacy in Action updates to help you go behind the scenes on our work! Let’s explore the historic and environmental legacy of the Okefenokee Swamp, investigate coastal geology, and learn how civic engagement can chart the future of Georgia’s coast.
