Volunteering
Whether it’s for a few hours a week, once a year at a special event, or something in between, your gift of time makes a difference for our coast. Volunteers are needed to assist with office tasks, to help with special events and education/community outreach, advocacy projects and much more.
We have temporarily paused our volunteer trainings due to Covid, but hope to begin again soon. While opportunities may be limited for in-person events, we still need your help on a variety of projects—please reach out to learn more and get involved.
- Education and Community Outreach: Staff our One Hundred Miles information table at outreach events help distribute educational materials, and teach about our coast and our organization. Assist Education staff with field trips, education projects, and more!
- Advocacy: Work with Advocacy staff to increase participation in current projects and address critical issues impacting our coast (i.e. write letters, attend meetings, etc.).
- General/Admin: Help with monthly or quarterly mailings, thank-you notes, phone calls, filing, organizing supplies and database maintenance. (Note: many of these tasks can be done remotely at this time.)
- Special Events and more!
