SUMMARY:Medical Toxicology Webinar: Brunswick PCBs
DESCRIPTION:Medical Toxicology Webinar: Supporting Brunswick Residents Exposed to PCBs\nThursday\, March 14 • 12 PM – 1 PM\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis free webinar is for healthcare providers to learn the health risks associated with exposures to PCBs in order to better support local Brunswick residents who have been exposed to such chemicals. While this webinar targets healthcare professionals\, the public is encouraged to attend\, ask questions\, and learn more. The information will empower the public to ask questions of their healthcare providers and their healthcare providers to answer those questions. \nThis webinar is an ongoing series as follow-up to the 2023 chemical exposure study conducted in Brunswick. Emory University and Brunswick-based partners tested the blood of 100 Glynn County residents to determine if local exposures to contaminants are higher than the general US population. The results show local residents have higher than average levels of chlorinated PCBs\, which are known contaminants in Brunswick’s rivers\, fish\, and marshes. \nJoin the live webinar hosted via Zoom by Emory University medical toxicologists at TinyUrl.com/BrunswickPCBsWebinar. \nZoom Meeting ID: 943 0703 6656; Passcode: 490141 \nView the meeting flyer here.
