SUMMARY:Sapelo Summer Symposium 2025
DESCRIPTION:Sapelo Summer Symposium\nFriday\, July 18 • 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommunity leaders\, local researchers\, coastal managers\, and coastal residents are encouraged to come out to Sapelo and will spend the morning listening to lightening talks from professionals working around the island. After lunch\, we will stop in the community to learn about initatives and projects our partners at SICARS are working on and then our attendees will join us at the SINERR Education Lab to view our student research poster session and learn about more about current projects that help us to better understand our local estuarine systems! Poster presenters will be undergraduate and graduate students from local universities and colleges who have been conducting field work here on Sapelo. Attendees will spend the remaining time enjoying our beach with a naturalist guided beach sein and learning about our vast ecosystem! \nSpace is limited so reserve soon! Ferry ride\, southern-style lunch\, and on-island transportation is included in the ticket cost.
