Water requires regional planning
After OHM submitted comments to the Coastal GA Regional Water Planning Council regarding their Regional Water Management Plan Update, the Council investigated further and invited the Director of Savannah Water Resources to present to the Council in September 2023. During the presentation, he described the region’s water supply situation as “dire.”
Our staff are working diligently with trusted partners to advocate for sub-regional planning for the region’s precarious water situation. Coastal county leadership must recognize the water scarcity and quality issues and collaborate to create a regional water plan.
