Starting with McIntosh County rezoning Hog(g) Hummock Community with no island descendant input, leading to Sapelo coalitions and citizen-led petitions, a special election—that was halted with voting underway, and most recently, a hearing before the Georgia Supreme Court, it’s a lot to keep track of—and to understand.
