Upcoming Member Meet-ups
Darien Owl Trail Walk
Wednesday, June 24 @ 6 PM
Take a relaxed walk along the Owl Trail in Darien with Mid Coast Advocate Susan Inman and gain insights into owl behavior, habitat, and conservation. As evening settles in, you’ll experience the sounds and rhythms of the coastal nightscape coming to life—including the unique residential barn owls.
This Member Meet-Up is full! If you’re interested in being added to the waitlist, please contact Beth Sutton.
Tybee Island: Turtle Beach Walk
Tuesday, July 21 @ 7:30 PM
Sea turtle season is here! Join us for an evening beach walk on Tybee Island. Experience the beach as it fades from day to night, with naturalists to guide us and help identify any wildlife we encounter—like turtles! If you bring any lights with you, please remember they must be turtle-friendly red lights.
Jekyll Island: Turtle Beach Walk
Wednesday, August 19 @ 7 aM
August is the height of sea turtle season! Join us for an early morning beach walk on Jekyll Island with OHM naturalist Stephanie Chewning as our guide. In addition to the birds, shells, and sea breeze, we hope to encounter active sea turtle nests—and maybe even watch (from a safe distance) some hatchlings make their way to the sea!
we’ve connected with members all across our coast
